Fractured Bed

  1. Confirm the type of fracture, the traction ordered and the surgeon’s instructions.
  2. Place fracture boards under the mattress to give a firm, non-sagging surface.
  3. Make the bed with the bottom sheet in two halves where a limb is in traction, so linen can be changed without disturbing it.
